About Us
Valen began in the early 1960’s in Europe as the original outsource supplier to the furniture industry. In 1985, Valen began offering custom drawer manufacturing in North America, starting in the Piedmont Triad area of North Carolina. In 2006, five-piece door manufacturing was added in the Lexington, North Carolina plant.
Today, Valen serves all of North America including Canada, the Caribbean, and Mexico with a full range of drawer and door products. Farther out, Valen Romania (known as Valenest) specializes in the production of solid wood drawer components. Located in a region rich in beech, birch, and oak timber, Valen Romania operates an on-site sawmill and a modern kiln-drying facility. Valen Italy (known as Valenext) is a full service drawer production facility located in the heart of the Italian furniture manufacturing region, with complete machining capabilities for drawers and drawer components. Valen Italy specializes in JIT service within Europe and neighboring regions.
Together, the three global operations of Valen provide an unmatched breadth of materials, expertise, and machining capabilities.

Through more than half a century of industry changes, Valen has continually operated under the original ownership. While we have grown, adapted, and solidified our position within the industry, we have maintained the same emphasis on quality, fast delivery, and value. We are proud to be suppliers to some of the largest and best known manufacturers, with our distribution stretching from the east to the west coast.
What We Do
As an industry leader, Valen daily meets the needs of custom shops for quality drawer and door components. We specialize in addressing the varied requirements from job to job, typically with short delivery times, such as customizations for Kitchens, Offices, Millworks, Closets, Hospitality, Medical & Laboratory, and Home Furnishings for local shops to national franchise organizations. To meet quick turnaround needs, Valen introduced the industry’s first Quick Ship program in 1989, and to this day lead-times for most custom door and drawer orders are 5-days or less. Valen continues to grow and invest in the strengthening of its capabilities and the expansion of its product range.
